“ Very cute and cozy tearoom! Had Deluxe afternoon tea, everything in it was delicious! Especially loved the scone! Staff were nice and helpful. They hsve only few places inside, more in the garden. Picturesque view from the windows to the meadow where were horses grazing. Enjoyed my visit very much! ”

“ Me and my partner came here yesterday as an early birthday treat. The staff were lovely and welcoming The cafe was so cute and cosy and I loved seeing all of the quirky teapots around. We were absolutely stuffed with sandwiches and a yummy variety of cakes. The lovely staff member was very kind and accommodating and we had a genuinely lovely time. We will definitely be coming back soon. Thank you for having us x ”

“ Found this place after an extensive google for somewhere to go on Mothers day and it is a lovely little hidden gem. A little out of the way and it’s not possible to park adjacent but it’s a relatively short walk up the tow path (not wheelchair/mobility limited friendly I’m afraid). Once there though a lovely quaint tea shop serving great food and drink and I would imagine it’s lovely on a warm sunny day. The afternoon tea was good value and the breakfast looks very good for the money! Well worth a trip out of the way. ”

“ Went down for a look because I was working in the area, besides the Great Central Way and the Aylestone Packhorse Bridge there isn’t much to chose between what was the best about being here… Then there was Kings Lock Bridge 104, Lock 38 and the Kings Lock Tearooms … I only had time for a Latte, which was absolutely perfect. I loved the staff, immediately took my order, the setting is perfect, dripping with history and all in a setting fit for… what for it… A King (or whoever it is you desire to be!) ”

“ Great coffee and cake, and a lovely location overlooking Aylestone Meadows. ”

“ Lovely walk through Aylestone Meadows and the midway point was King's Lock Tearooms. What a fantastic place for a rest. Really lovely people, great food, lovely coffee. They even have a doggie menu which is fantastic. There is an undercover seating area for inclement weather and a play area for children. Right on the canal (not surprisingly) so easy walking, although paths are a bit uneven. Highly recommended. ”

“ On this crisp and misty October morning (Sunday) we decided to have a walk and get a cup of tea with a view. We opted for the King’s Lock Tea rooms in Aylestone. A bit difficult to find with Google maps, but for those travelling by car, once in the car park, cross the small bridge, drop down onto the canal and turn right. Walk along the canal for 5 minutes and you’ll reach the Locks and the tea room. Parking is free but the spaces are limited. It is NOT wheelchair friendly, as there is a small trek to reach the destination and a few steps and steep climbs. The outdoor seating area is clean and dog friendly and there is a small selection of food stuffs available. We opted for scones with clotted cream and jam and a couple of coffees. Not badly priced at £15 for all. The walk, the view and the novelty, all make this a destination to visit again. ”
